A beautiful late Meiji to early Showa Period Satsuma lidded jar, circa 1920s to 1930s. Richly gilded ad beautifully detailed with scenes from Japanese mythology.

Excellent vintage, possibly antique condition. Wear to gilt particularly to top as pictured, one area of residue which we have photographed. Otherwise wear overall commensurate with age, including light crazing. Unsigned.
