Elegant English sterling silver bracelet with W.J. Sanders heart-shaped padlock

An elegant English sterling silver bracelet with W.J. Sanders heart-shaped padlock. The English sterling silver chain is an older piece, with each link on the chain is stamped with the lion passant mark for sterling silver.

W. J. Sanders & Co. are renowned Sydney silversmiths active  since 1911. Known as some of Australia’s finest gold and silversmiths, they produced in recent years the Melbourne Cup for ABC Bullion and the Victoria Racing Club as well as the Harry White Whip.

The lobster clasp was replaced at some point during this item’s history, but is marked and tests as sterling silver.

Measurements: 21cm length, 24 grams total weight.

Lion passant marks rubbed, W.J. Sanders sponsor mark to padlock rubbed but legible. Good vintage to antique condition with wear overall commensurate with age as pictured.
