An elegant sterling silver twin-handled Rosebowl of substantial size, with marks for Birmingham, 1897, D & M Davis (David & Maurice Davis), the latter registered their mark in 1895 and were active until 1908. This was engraved with a later inscription when it was presented to Mr. William Rutter by the staff of the Royal Infirmary in Liverpool, England on the 31st December, 1948. Mr. Rutter served as secretary and general superintendent of the Royal Infirmary during his decades long tenure.

One minor blemish to top of rim, otherwise excellent antique condition with light wear commensurate with age. Thick gauge.
