Absolutely stunning antique Scottish George IV Regency sterling silver tea set with marks for Charles Bendy, 1823, Edinburgh, who was active from 1819-1826.

Beautifully wrought with acanthus motifs to the teapot and floral repousse work and gilt-washed interiors to each piece, this is a substantial set that is of heirloom quality. Central cartouches blank to all.

Measurements: Teapot 784.7 grams,  Sugar bowl 415.5grams, Creamer or Milk Jug 252.9 grams, total weight 1453.1 grams. 15cm handle to spout (creamer jug), 10.2 cm height. 20.5cm handle to handle (sugar bowl), 12 cm height. Tea pot 28.5 cm from handle to spout, 17.7cm height.

Condition: Excellent antique condition overall, tea patina to interior of teapot, marks very lightly rubbed but overall crisp.
