Antique French .950 gilt silver and cut glass bottle by Gustave Keller

Antique French .950 silver and cut glass bottle by renowned silversmithing firm Gustave Keller, Paris, circa 1881-1922. Founded in 1856 by Gustave Keller, the Keller firm’s elegant designs were instantly popular and would be awarded multiple awards at the 1867 and 1878 Paris World Exhibitions as well as the 1889 and 1900 World Fairs. They would go on to become official supplier to the Spanish, Russian, Greek and Romanian royal courts.

This is a beautifully example of their work, with a richly gilded band to the top as well as engraved floral details. The glass is beautifully etched with geometric patterns.

Condition: Internal crack (does not go all the way through); otherwise very good antique condition overall. We have had the cap professionally regilded with 24k gold (scroll through photos to see previous wear), light wear commensurate with age, minor clouding to glass as pictured.
