A beautiful antique English buttercup intaglio cut glass and sterling silver perfume bottle, with assay marks for Birmingham, Herbert Scott Murdoch, 1919.
This is likely Ficaria Verna, which belongs in the buttercup family Ranunculaceae, lay name lesser Celandine.
Despite his relatively short career spanning 12 years, this silversmith produced some very fine perfume bottles.

Measurements: 25cm length from handle to tip, 8.5cm height. 188 grams.
Excellent antique condition asides from one minor blemish to top. ‘V’ signature etched to inside of base.
