Here we have an vintage QEII Garrard & Co. sterling silver hot water pot with marks for Garrard & Co., Birmingham, 1978.
Elegantly made with shell-form motif to base of spout and timber handle, as well as of substantial weight and thick gauge.
This was made when Garrard was residing at Regent Street London, where they still hold premises today. Garrard needs little to no introduction, but they have been synonymous with craftsmanship for centuries. Crown Jewellers from 1843 to 2007, they currently produce work of this quality only for the most bespoke commissions. For instance, they continue to make trophies for the Americas Cup, Ascot and the British Masters.
Price marked at $14000 AUD. Measurements: 22.5cm height, 11cm base diameter. 813.6 grams total weight. Very good vintage condition with one tiny blemish as pictured, otherwise light wear commensurate with age. Marks overall crisp and well-struck.
