Scarce set of 6 Chawner & Co. antique sterling Straight Tudor pattern teaspoons

A beautiful and scarce set of 6 sterling teaspoons in the Straight Tudor pattern with marks for London 1854-1855 (2 assayed for 1854, and 4 assayed for 1855), Chawner & Co (George Adams period). A rare Chawner & Co pattern registered on the 15th August 1850, alongside with the Tudor pattern which this is a variant of, this pattern appears in the Chawner pattern book.

Made by Chawner & Co. during the George Adams period, one of our favourite firms and makers. Chawner & Co. were fine and prolific makers, supplying retailers such as Hunt & Roskell, R.& S. Garrard & Co & Elkington & Co. These teaspoons are double struck and bear the diamond registration mark, making these of note to any Victorian silver collector.

Measurements: 207 grams, 15cm length.

Excellent antique condition with minor wear overall commensurate with age. Marks crisp and well-struck.
