Beautiful hand painted mid Meiji Period (mid 19th century) Imari plate, beautifully rendered in a palette of cobalt blue, green and a traditional iron red glaze.

Lovely hand-painted stylized motifs as well as handpainted foo dogs motifs.

Good antique condition, light wear overall commensurate with age. One firing flaw under glaze which presents as hairline crack, plate rings true. Some wear commensurate with age, minor firing flaws and kiln grit as pictured.
