Beautiful High Victorian “Rococo” tea caddy spoon with lovely repousse motifs, with marks for Martin and Hall, Sheffield, 1859.
Martin & Hall were successful and prolific manufacturers, and would exhibit at the Great Exhibition in 1851, the International Exhibition in 1862, the Sydney Exhibition in 1879, the Melbourne Exhibition in 1881 and the British Industries Fair in 1915.
A fantastic design by an excellent maker, these spoons are highly collectible (see a sold example by another notable dealer).
