A beautiful antique Gorham sterling silver Strasbourg patterned spreader, circa late 19th to early 20th century. This pattern was first introduced in 1897 and features a beautiful ornate handle.
Gorham is known as one of America's earliest and greatest silver making houses. The White House has used Gorham silver services during many administrations, with a notable example being one that Mary Todd Lincoln purchased for use in the White House in 1859, which was later presented to the National Museum of American History in 1957.
