An elegant antique ebony and silver hair receiver or hair tidy, with marks for London, 1901, sponsor mark for WR. While little is known about this maker, they were active from 1920 to 1922, and made a number of small ebony and silver mounted items. Lovely engraved Art Nouveau design to the silver with the original cartouche left blank.
