An elegant antique Alexander Clark Manufacturing Company sterling silver christening set comprising an Edwardian spoon, fork, spreader and napkin ring with marks for Sheffield, 1902 (knife, spreader and spoon) and marks for London, 1902 (napkin ring) . With original red moroccan leather case.
The pieces are of solid sterling silver, asides from the spreader which is beautifully made with a sterling silver blade and mother of pearl handle.
All engraved with the initials BLO to case, spoon, fork, spreader and napkin ring in script of the period.The Alexander Clark Manufacturing Company was a prominent British silver manufacturer of the time, with premises on Fenchurch Street, Oxford Street and Market Place in London, as well as a larger workshop at Welbeck Works, Randall Street, Sheffield.
