Made in 1930 by one of the most significant producers of Gouda Art Pottery in the region, PZH; otherwise known as Plateelfabriek Zuid Holland. This small syrup jug in the classic Rhodian pattern is a quintessential Art Deco style. In a stylised floral pattern, this has been hand-painted with vibrant jewel tones strongly influenced by Orientalism and the Jugendstil movement.
Beautiful tactile handfeel, this would be perfect for honey or syrup as well as other condiments.
Date code for 1930 hand-painted on the bottom as well as the pattern name and Lazarus house signature of the PZH factory.
