Vintage white jade dragon-carp pendant

A beautiful vintage white jade dragon-carp pendant, depicting the moment a carp leaps through the dragon gate and successfully transforms into a dragon, breathing clouds and bringing rain. Traditionally this motif was beloved by Chinese scholars as it represents success in examinations, but can more generally represent wishing someone success. This could be wrapped with a silk cord to be a necklace or waist pendant; alternatively the new owner can choose to have a hole drilled to suspend this pendant from a silk cord or chain.
