This beautiful Victorian sterling silver letter opener with turned Ivory handle has marks for Sheffield, 1881, Harrison Brothers & Howson. They were active from 1854 to 1895 on Norfolk Street, Sheffield. Very elegant with silver details throughout, including the ferrule and cap of the letter opener.
Price marked at $400 AUD. Measurements: 19.5cm length. 27.2 grams total weight. Very good antique condition with light wear commensurate with age. Marks crisp and well-struck.
