A lovely pair of late Victorian saucières (sauce boats), with marks for London, 1899, R&W Sorley. William Sorley & William Steele traded as R&W Sorley on St Vincent Street & Renfield Street, Glasgow, as well as at Buchanan Street, Glasgow.
These saucières are some of the finest we’ve come across, substantial and of thick gauge with lovely details to handles, top and gadrooned base.

Excellent antique condition with minor wear overall commensurate with age. Marks well-struck, lightly rubbed but legible.
