Stunning Rose Tapestry English Regency to Victorian Fire Screen

This English Regency to early Victorian fire screen looks like it came straight out of a British country manor.

The entire stand is finely made from mahogany and brass, and the quality speaks for itself; finely worked foliage scrolled details, immaculately gleaming telescopic fixtures that allows one to adjust the screen height and attention to quality from the very top finial to the beautifully scroll worked feet.

Of course, the centrepiece is the stunning rose tapestry screen. Using a combination of stumpwork techniques and crewelwork, red and white roses are gorgeously depicted in various stages of full bloom. A backdrop of meticulously crafted leaves is the perfect finishing touch.

This blend of solid craftsmanship and romantic whimsy makes this one of the best fire screens we have seen- perfect to complement your vintage fireplace or any home.
In excellent antique condition with wear commensurate with age- slight marks to the back of frame as pictured and the tapestry border shows some yellowing with age but this hardly detracts from the overall piece and the crewelwork.
