Here we have a stunning mid-century English sterling silver liquor ticket / decanter label for Whisky with marks for Henry Clifford Davis, Birmingham, 1955; a fine maker who was active from 1901-1964.
Beautifully made with thick gauge, finely engraved pattern to the front; the curvature of the design ensures that the ticket fits securely around one’s vintage. The Whisky label is engraved with beautiful cobalt enamel, with minor losses to the “S” and “K” letters.
Ah, whisky. According to the Scotch Whisky Association, the word whisky comes from the Gaelic uisge beatha or usquebaugh, which means "water of life". What better way to set your favourite vintage apart than with this stunning liquor ticket?
