Elegant early 19th century Chinese export silver table spoon circa 1820-1850, marks for Houcheong, a maker active from 1820 to 1890, New China Street, Canton. Made in a classic Georgian fiddle pattern, a substantial piece and of thick gauge. . Stamped HCG, an early variation that Houcheong used, with pseudo-hallmarks this is a fine example of early Chinese export silver by a relatively rare maker.

Very good antique condition overall with light wear commensurate with age, maker’s marks crisp and well-struck.
