Pair of 20th Century Chinese Peacock Couple Cloisonné Vases

Freshly sourced from an antiques market in Korea, this pair of 20th century Chinese cloisonné vases each depict a peacock couple perching over rock. The exquisitely rendered peacock tailfeathers and ombre blossom motifs make this a truly remarkable piece. 

With a crisp white background and a stylised lingzhi border pattern to the top, the central motif is remarkable large in scale and wraps around the vase. Lovely well executed enamel work; the ombre shading to the petals are a particularly nice touch.
