This listing is for one vintage Australian Sargison’s sterling silver parfait spoon circa 1930s to 1960s. Designed by the namesake and founder of this prestigious brand Harold Frances Sargison (1885-1983), one of the finest silversmiths in Tasmania as well as Australia. Finely wrought with planished bowls and gum leaf and gumnut finials.

“Harold made a name for himself as a fine craftsman and reputable jeweller. He retired in his nineties after supervising the making of a set of sterling silver serving spoons commissioned in 1981, as a wedding gift from Tasmanians for Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. Harold Sargison's work is represented in public collections, including the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, and the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney.”  (Sargison’s biography as per their official website)

This design is currently unavailable at Sargison’s, making this a rare and collectible set; their Gum Leaf jam spoons currently retail at $445pp.

These would be lovely for iced drinks as well as for ice creams, parfaits and entertaining in general.

Price marked at $350 AUD each; we currently have 4 available.
