Midcentury fencai 'Children At Play" figural Chinese vase. Well executed colours and an extremely rare style; the children are usually painted in scenes on the vase, rather than in figural style, and we see these priced upwards of 2000AUD.

We see finely moulded details on the dragons as well as gilt handles. The fencai glaze is beautifully done with the enamels in a very Cantonese style. Other examples we have seen had apocryphal marks dating them to approx 1950s-80s; we believe this one to be similarly circa this period.
