This mid to late 19th century Meiji Period Imari plate is beautifully rendered in a sunset palette of cobalt blue, mandarin orange and a traditional red glaze signature of Imari-ware. Scholars’ scrolls rendered in cobalt underglaze to back.

Very good antique condition, light wear overall commensurate with age. Some wear commensurate with age, minor firing flaws and kiln grit as pictured.
