Among our many fantastic finds, a selection of highly rare and collectible Prattware lidded pots. This particular example circa 1850 is captioned I See You, My Boy.
Here we see a boy trying to pick the pockets of a sleeping man, but getting caught and told off. Victorian humour could be tongue in cheek, and Prattware was popular enough with the Victorian middle class that it provides many excellent examples, making true antique Prattware desired by many collectors.
Price marked at AUD$380.
Measurements: Approx 10.5 pot lid diameter, 9.5 cm high.
Condition: Fair antique condition, however there is wear to the lid and lid base as pictured; scroll through pictures for a close up of the most significant chips and damage to the pot lid.
