Lovely Victorian Tartan Ware Sewing Case / Needle Holder, McPherson Pattern

This late 19th century tartanware case is rather special piece. While tartanware is generally desirable and sewing items particularly so, this is a charming example where a thimble would have been stored in the base of the case, with needles and other accoutrements on top.

A lovely and practical souvenir back in the day. A distinctive pattern too, done in the McPherson clan tartan. 

Price marked at $250AUD. 

Measurements: approx 2.2 cm wide, 4.5 cm high.

Condition: Good antique condition with some spots of wear commensurate with age. Interior shows minimal signs of use. Overall colours crisp and bright.
