Lovely 19th century Pink and White Cheese Dome
Lovely 19th century Pink and White Cheese Dome
This absolutely lovely cheese dome will fit all but the most monumental of cheeses.
A lovely majolica inspired example of English pottery, with a pink and white figural blossom motif and a faux bois handle.
While overall it is in good antique condition, there is some wear commensurate with age and use, most notably one large chip to the underside as pictured. Does not detract from use and does not overly impact display if turned to the back.
This was definitely a well loved piece and centrepiece in a Victorian household. Cheese was a prized commodity back in the day (and remains so now!) and this would have taken pride of place in any kitchen.
