Late Victorian Walker & Hall sterling silver pen knife

A beautiful late Victorian sterling silver pen knife with marks for Sheffield, 1896, Walker & Hall. An elegant piece charmingly inscribed ‘Ruby” on the handle of the period. ith sterling silver blade as well as handle, this is a well-crafted piece typical of this maker.

Walker and Hall, originally founded in Sheffield, enjoys a sterling reputation in New Zealand as perhaps its premier jewellery brand since 1899. They create jewellery and pieces for much of New Zealand's society figures, as well as the Bledisloe Cup.
