This late 19th century Chinese snuff bottle is a charming piece. Absolutely lovely moulded porcelain exterior and sgraffito details, complete with semi-stone stopper, possibly amethyst or purple fluoroapatite.
The fineness of the details indicate it was made in one of the better kilns, quite possibly Jingdezhen as the ruyi details are signature to the area.
Highly desirable and the dragon and ruyi shaped cloud motifs on it make it one of the finer porcelain examples we have come across.
Price marked at AUD$440
Measurements 8 cm height, 4cm width.
Condition: In good antique condition with wear overall and to base as pictured.
