Beautiful late 18th to early 19th century Coalport plate in a “Bow” variant pattern, circa 1790-1810 hand-painted in polychrome enamels. During this early period Coalport plates were frequently unmarked; however this particular pattern is well-documented and was made under the auspices of John Rose, the founder of Coalport Pottery. A rare and lovely piece of English ceramic history. Chinoiserie style motifs to the underside.

Condition: Very good antique condition, some wear to gilt and loss of enamels, stable hairline crack upper right quadrant of plate.
