Rare and lovely George II crested sterling silver tablespoon, with marks for Samuel Holmes, London, 1747. Family crest depicting a stag’s head, of the Young family, an Irish noble family of ancient lineage. Shell detail to the back and an inscription “A H to A S”, likely pointing to this being a wedding present.
