This lovely Japanese Kutaniware bowl dates from the early Meiji period (1868-1912). With red, green and indigo (gosu) glazes and gilt trim, this would make a lovely display piece.
Motifs include plum blossoms, pine branches and traditional landscapes, as befitting the bowl’s “Fuki Chosun”hallmark; written in cross-style Japanese kanji, it means “prosperity and long life”.
Overall in good antique condition, with wear to gold inner rim and chips to base as pictured which do not impact display.
