A vintage early 20th century mechanical metronome with bell and Maelzel sound system and walnut veneer, circa 1900s to 1930.

The button on the side adjusts the frequency of the bell to every 2 to 6 beats, while the sliding weight on the metronome’s face controls the rhythm of the metronome between Prestisimmo to Grave. The metronome is powered by clockwork and comes with its original key.

Maelzel systems remain the gold standard for mechanical metronome since Maelzel’s 1816 patent, making this a beautiful and practical piece for any musician.

Price marked at $440 AUD.

Measurements: 22.5cm height, base measurements 11.5 by 11.5cm.

Excellent vintage possibly antique condition. Original box has damage as pictured, otherwise in excellent working order with minor wear overall commensurate with age.
