A handsome late Victorian to Edwardian dark green leather clad jewellery box, top-handled with brass mechanism. No key but the slide mechanism is in good working order and securely opens and closes. Monogrammed initials M.D. to top right corner of lid.
Tooled edges to each panel and an elegant carry handle, with peach silk interior. The top compartment lifts out to reveal the base compartment, making this a beautiful and functional box for one’s treasures. Perfect for a carry-on luggage.

Very good antique condition with some wear to the the leather particularly corners and base. Peach silk is in good condition which is rare in boxes of this age.
