An excellent William Moorcroft Leaf and Berry Vase circa 1928-1949. William Moorcroft began his career working for the MacIntyre company in the late 19th century, and by 1904 he had perfected the technique of tube-lining. In 1912 he left to establish his own pottery backed by Liberty & Co, which sold many of his products. This vase in a lovely Leaf and Berry pattern likely dates from the 1930s to 40s, and displays a beautiful range of colours as well as his signature tube-lining technique. Moorcroft pieces remain highly desirable today
