An elegant set of Victorian sterling silver tongs with marks for London, 1869, attributed to Chawner and Co. (George Adams period). Monogram of the period to bow.

Made by Chawner & Co. during the George Adams period, one of our favourite firms and makers. Chawner & Co. were fine and prolific makers, supplying retailers such as Hunt & Roskell, R.& S. Garrard & Co & Elkington & Co.

Excellent antique condition, minor wear overall commensurate with age. Sponsor mark rubbed but legible.
