A rare and lovely antique Scottish provincial silver pair of tongs, Kings Pattern with shell bowls, with rare marks by Robert MacGregor circa 1825 to 1848 who was a silversmith based in Perth. This pair of tongs bears unusual marks, similar to these that we have found during our research- the tree with bauble marks appears to have been a mark for the town of Elgin, while the other partial mark is possibly of Dundee type. Monogrammed V to the bow.
