Charming late Victorian Sterling silver christening cup, with beautiful etched botanical and fern motifs and wrought handle. These were traditionally given to celebrate the first baptism of an infant, and symbolise a rich tradition full of love and protection.

Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1876. Maker’s marks are rubbed but we believe this to be H.T., which were the jewellers F J H Thomas.

Price marked at $500 AUD.

Measurements: 99.6 grams.

Condition: Rubbed maker’s marks but discernible, light wear to engraving.
