Antique George IV sterling silver fiddle & thread spoon

This antique George IV sterling silver fiddle & thread spoon has marks for London, 1824, William Chawner II. Chawner was active from 1815 to 1833. His wife Mary would later become an accomplished silversmith as well, and their children would go on to become some of England’s finest silversmiths.

Monogrammed to handle in script of the period with the initials JC.

Price marked at $325 AUD.

Measurements: 34 grams. 17.5cm length.

Minor dent to bowl, otherwise good antique condition with wear overall commensurate with age and use.
