Antique French .800 silver and guilloche enamel guardian angel pendant

A beautiful antique French .800 silver and guilloche enamel guardian angel pendant, with original chain and sponsor’s mark as well as the crab mark indicating .800 silver purity. The latter mark was used from 1838 to 1984, and the pendant dates to 1870s to 1920s based upon research.

The enamel work is beautifully done, with intricate engine turned background details a cherub masterfully executed in translucent white enamel making this a lovely evocative piece.

Excellent antique condition with light wear commensurate with age. Light rubbing to white enamel border in some places as pictured.
