This stunning antique medieval coin dates from the early Ming Dynasty (1408-1424). A truly stunning historical piece.
Inscription: Yong Le Tong Bao. Yong Le lived from 1368 to 1424, and began his reign in 1402 – 12 August 1424. He was the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty, one of the greatest dynasties in Chinese history. His reign name means "Eternal Happiness", which also carries auspicious meaning.
Circa early Ming Dynasty, Yong Le Reign,. Casting paused during the first years of his reign and resumed circa 1408-1424.
Coin is set in a sterling silver frame, marked 925 on the bail. Stone is an briolette cut amethyst in a teardrop-shaped setting.
