Antique Chinese export silver plum blossom trinket dish by Wang Hing

Beautiful antique Chinese export silver trinket dish with marks for .900 silver purity, maker’s mark for Wang Hing,  one of the great makers of Chinese export silver. A beautiful pierced and engraved design of plum blossoms; plum blossoms are esteemed by Chinese scholars as one of the "Four Gentlemen" for blooming despite winter’s adversity. 

According to Von Ferscht’s definitive book on Chinese export silver (pg, 293), this stamp can be attributed to Wang Hing (Canton and Hong Kong, 1854-1941).

Measurements: 8.5 by 14.5cm base measurements, total weight 61.7gms.

Condition: Excellent antique condition, marks crisp and clear. Light wear overall commensurate with age.
