Here we have a beautiful creamer jug by Belleek in a shamrock basketweave pattern. Beautiful thinly hand-potted feel and rounded dimensions. The handle is elegantly wrought.
This piece is marked with the Second Black Mark, which was used circa 1896 to 1926. We believe this to be late 19th century as it is a particularly elegant design which lets the renowned lustre and delicacy of Belleek porcelain shine through. Belleek as a company was founded in its namesake in Northern Ireland, 1884. The unique mineral deposits there helped form the signature Belleek glaze and its fine, almost translucent quality of porcelain.
Price marked at $160AUD.
Measurements: 13.5cm diameter, 8cm high.
Excellent antique condition. Mild wear overall commensurate with age, some yellowing to interior.
