Here we have some lovely antique cake plates by Belleek in a shamrock basketweave pattern. Beautiful thinly hand-potted feel.
They are marked with the Second Black Mark, which was used circa 1896 to 1926. We believe this to be late 19th century as it is a particularly elegant design which lets the renowned lustre and delicacy of Belleek porcelain shine through. Belleek as a company was founded in its namesake in Northern Ireland, 1884. The unique mineral deposits there helped form the signature Belleek glaze and its fine translucent quality of porcelain.
Price marked at AUD$80 per cake plate. We have 4 individual cake plates available.
Measurements: 16cm cake plate diameter.
Excellent antique condition. Mild wear commensurate with age, and light wear to glaze on borders commensurate with age.
