This beautiful 19th century Edo period Japanese bronze vase by master artist Juko Toshimitsu (signed Juko). Juko (1815-1868) was known for his skill in carving, primarily in the netsuke or okimono format, making this a very rare example of his artistry in bronze.
This vase, which depicts a beautiful finch and ibara rose summer scene in high relief, a popular motif throughout the Edo to Meiji periods. A rare and highly collectible piece with exquisite craftsmanship.
