Exquisite 19th century Venetian enamelled hand-blown glass plate with hand painted love bird motifs and gold flecked glass rims. The pontil marks and heavy gilt details point towards these being of Venetian, specifically Murano origins. Moreover, the gold flecked glass rims are a signature detail of Murano glass-working masters, which is another strong indicator as seen by the bases
They are very much in the style of Salviati, renowned glassmakers in Murano who also imported and sold glass via their London premises on 213 Regent Street. Ludwig Moser was known to use blanks from Salviati and other Venetian manufacturers before creating his own.
These would make lovely dessert or small centrepiece plates.
