Victorian sterling silver triple-compartment vesta case, Robert Pringle & Sons

A lovely Victorian sterling silver triple-compartment vesta case with marks for London, 1900, Robert Pringle & Sons. One compartment would have held vesta matches, one compartment a stamp holder, and the last compartment a sovereign holder. All interiors nicely gilded.

Pringle & Co., later Pringle & Sons was active from 1892 to 1967, produced many fine small silver items at their premises on Clerkenwell Road, London.

Good antique condition with remnants of gilt and minor dimples and wear overall commensurate with age as pictured. City mark rubbed, other marks crisp.
