Pair of large antique French unsigned Mont Joye art glass vases

A beautiful pair of antique French unsigned Mont Joye art glass vases with handpainted floral motifs circa the Belle Epoque period  (1890s-1910s). E S. Monot’s Cristallerie de la Villette was the first glassworks to produce cameo glass with the Mont Joye mark. Monte would later merged with Pantin and went through a series of ownership changes, with Mont Joy later coming under the ownership of Legras & Cie after WWI.

While unsigned, we would attribute this to Mont Joye based upon research due to the nature of glass used and the Art Nouveau style of floral motif, very much representative of the factory’s work- many of the factory’s earlier pieces were unsigned. A fine example of antique French hand-blown glass of this period.

Measurements: 32.7 cm and 31.5 cm respectively.

Excellent antique condition overall, pontil mark to base of each vase. Due to the hand-blown nature of these pieces they are not identical in height however are clearly made in the same style with same floral motifs.
