Mid-century Australian 1.5 carat opal triplet ring

A beautiful vintage mid-century Australian 1.5 carat opal triplet ring, quartz-capped for elegance and durability, circa 1960 to 1980. The opal displays wonderful play of colour, predominantly red on a blue field which is highly desired by collectors. The setting is a decorative gallery setting with double talon claws, The band is marked and tests at 9ct gold purity.
