Mid 19th century Dutch .833 silver peppermint box / pillbox / snuffbox

A beautiful mid 19th century Dutch .833 silver peppermint box, with marks for 1850 and 2nd standard purity which indicates a minimum fineness of .833 silver purity, 77B (unidentified mark).

While these were used during the 19th century as candy boxes, particularly peppermints, this would also make a lovely snuff or pill box.
